The devices of the BSA-W1L series were developed to protect against direct and indirect lightning discharges. They offer protection in the zone transition 0A - 1 according to IEC 62305.
The BSA-W1L (4+0) consist of four gas-filled spark gaps in series with high-performance metal oxide varistors. They are free of leakage current and can therefore be used in the pre-counter area. In the event of a defect, the two-part device enables a simple and quick replacement without new wiring, by pulling out
the plug-in module and inserting a new module. The devices have a mechanical status indicator and a remote signaling contact.
